About Summit

Founded in 2005, Summit Data Communications, Inc. is a privately-held company located in Akron, Ohio, USA. Summit is dedicated to providing high performance radio modules and cards are designed for integration into application-specific devices (ASDs) such as portable data terminals, medical devices, and industrial equipment. Our cards deliver this same performance to standard devices like notebook and desktop PCs and PDAs.

While devices vary in appearance and capabilities, they all run mission-critical applications, and so they must operate reliably. Given the connected nature of today’s computers and data collection devices, a poorly functioning data communications interface results in a poorly functioning device. If the radio doesn't work, the device doesn't work.
